Job Title: Assembly Operator I
Location: Fairview, NC 28730
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $17.61/hour
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Operator I to join our team in Fairview, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling precision components used in relays and switches for the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, the ability to follow work instructions, and thrives in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Soldering experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble components using small hand tools, fixtures, and microscopes as required
- Inspect work using quality standards and detailed work instructions
- Perform pull tests and other quality checks as needed
- Measure components using calipers, gauges, and other precision tools
- Inspect products according to blueprints and technical drawings
- Complete operational documentation to ensure product traceability
- Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs when necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Read and interpret technical drawings to complete assigned tasks
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred
- Soldering experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints preferred
- Experience using measuring tools (calipers, gauges, etc.) preferred
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods (up to 75% of the time)
- Ability to operate machinery and move between workstations
- Ability to read and understand written instructions in English
