Material Planner – Automotive Manufacturing
Location: York, SC
Pay: $40 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract (6 to 8 months)

Join our team as a Material Planner and keep production running smoothly at a recognized leader in automotive manufacturing! Kelly Services is seeking an organized, detail-driven Material Planner to support material supply and inventory management. This is an onsite contract role with competitive pay and a dependable, daytime schedule.

Responsibilities:
•    Plan, organize, and monitor material supply to ensure timely, accurate delivery to production teams
•    Manage supplier schedules and communicate effectively to adjust for changes in demand or supply
•    Monitor supplier performance, prepare scorecards, address issues, and escalate risks as needed
•    Collaborate with internal teams to react to shifts in production volume and material requirements
•    Participate in inventory optimization initiatives and analyze KPIs to drive continuous improvement
•    Evaluate and implement engineering change requests, minimizing excess or obsolete stock
•    Use planning and ERP tools to respond to system alerts and balance material constraints

Qualifications:
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (required)
•    1–4 years of material planning, supply chain, or related experience (required)
•    Working knowledge of supply chain/material planning systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar strongly preferred)
•    Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; attention to detail
•    Excellent communication, teamwork, and organization abilities
•    Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
