Warehouse Associate
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Shift: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
Location: Elk Grove, CA
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Warehouse Associate to assemble, process, and ship customer orders. The ideal candidate enjoys fast-paced work, is detail-oriented, and excels in teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and fill orders for shipment to customers or divisions.
- Load and unload company and common carrier vehicles.
- Process shipping paperwork, including verifying shipment contents, applying correct postage, and preparing BOL for LTL shipments.
- Follow customer shipping instructions and arrange for shipment insurance if needed.
- Use a warehouse management scanner to pick orders and put away received items.
- Verify orders by counting and checking merchandise descriptions against invoices.
- Pack orders into containers and arrange on shelves by truck route.
- Substitute for other warehouse personnel as needed.
- Operate propane forklifts and manual pallet jacks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Key Requirements:
- Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- General knowledge of electrical products preferred.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work overtime as needed.
- Excellent attendance record.
Physical & Equipment Requirements:
- Steel-toed boots required.
- Must be able to operate propane forklifts and manual pallet jacks.
