Purpose of Job:
Bausch & Lomb Surgical makes equipment used by doctors to perform cataract and other eye surgeries, as well as sterile custom packs for each surgery. Offering you a chance to be involved in making a difference in people’s lives by improving their vision and daily way of life.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our team at Bausch & Lomb Surgical, a leading medical device manufacturer. The Buyer will be supporting various procurement activities, including timely sourcing of high-quality materials and components while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting production schedules, supplier relationships, and the overall success of our supply chain.
Quali?cations:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related ?eld preferred
- 1+ years of purchasing or procurement experience preferred, preferably in the medical device or manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and supplier quality standards is a plus.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Pro?ciency in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- AS400 experience a plus
- Ability to analyze data, forecast demand, and manage supplier performance effectively.
- Negotiation skills
- Self-starter and eager to learn is a must
