Kelly Science is seeking a Scientist- Oncology Cell Therapy for a fully benefited long term contract with a growing company located in Gaithersburg, MD.
 
Pay: $48.00/hour
Shift: Monday-Friday 1st Shift
Employment Type: Full Time; 12-month contract
 
Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented Scientist or Senior Scientist to join our dynamic team focused on developing next-generation CAR-T and T cell-based therapies for solid tumors. In this role, you will design and execute laboratory experiments, develop and optimize methods, and analyze scientific data to advance our immunotherapy programs. You’ll play a key part in preclinical oncology studies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones in a productive and supportive environment.
 
Essential Skills & Experience:

  • BS with 5+ years, MS with 2+ years of relevant experience, or PhD in immunology, oncology, cell biology, or related discipline.

  • Strong hands-on experience in in vivo preclinical models and oncology studies.

  • Working knowledge of T cell biology and experience with CAR-T or other T cell therapies.

  • Hands-on in vitro experience supporting T cell research.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with flow cytometry and immune cell profiling.

  • Skilled in cell-based functional assays (cytotoxicity, proliferation, cytokine analysis).

  • Experience with primary human T cell isolation, activation, and functional characterization.

  • Familiarity with viral or non-viral genetic modification of T cells.

  • PBMC manipulation and assay experience.

  • Knowledge of solid tumor models and molecular biology skills.
