Pay: $35 – $38/hour
Schedule: Mon-Fri Onsite

Overview
This client is an industry-leading company that’s leading the way in bioprocessing and life science product development.
Conducts research and projects under the direction of a supervisor in bioprocessing and process improvement leading to support of the development or improvement of life science products. Performs cell culture experiments for development of cell biology research, product development, technical product support, and/or process improvements. Formulates and prepares reagents, including cell culture media. Performs common chemical/biological assays. Performs basic data analysis and generates summary data reports. Supports planning and experimental design of projects. Contributes to the preparation of formal reports and presentations. Assists in troubleshooting equipment and experimental problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts research and projects under the direction of a supervisor in bioprocessing and process improvement

  • Performs cell culture experiments for development of cell biology research, product development, technical product support, and/or process improvements

  • Formulates and prepares reagents, including cell culture media

  • Performs common chemical/biological assays

  • Performs basic data analysis and generates summary data reports

  • Supports planning and experimental design of projects

  • Contributes to the preparation of formal reports and presentations

  • Assists in troubleshooting equipment and experimental problems

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in a Biological/Chemical Science or equivalent, M.S. preferred

  • B.S. candidates require a minimum of 2 years of relevant lab-related work experience

  • M.S. qualified candidates require 2 years or less of relevant lab-related work experience

  • Experience working with CHO cell culture 

  • Works on problems of easy scope in which analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors

  • Good general knowledge of Cell Culture, Chemistry, and Biochemistry

  • Good working knowledge of basic laboratory equipment (scales, pH meters, etc.)

  • Working with bioreactors is a plus

  • Knowledge of commonly used experimental/research concepts, practices, and procedures

  • General knowledge of computer systems and productivity software

  • Ability to speak, write and read English fluently

  • Good oral and written communication skills
