Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $19 per hour
Shift: 2nd shift – Monday to Thursday 3:00 pm to 1:30 am

What’s a typical day as a Production Operator? You’ll be:

  • Conducting visual quality checks on stacks of doors entering your work area via conveyor systems.

  • Using various tools such as glue guns, palm sanders, sanding blocks, chisels, and putty knives to repair defects and ensure only high-quality products continue down the production line.

  • Restacking doors, pushing pallets or door stacks on conveyors, and documenting unrepairable doors in reject sheets.

  • Operating jump tracks, straightening doors, and managing infeed tracks of the paint booth.

  • Reading and interpreting ticket instructions and specifications to meet strict product quality standards.

  • Performing tasks like buffing, sanding, finishing, and touch-up paint applications as required.

  • Assisting at various stages of door production while demonstrating high attention to detail and craftsmanship.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have experience with hand tools, sanders, planers, and wood craftsmanship; strong attention to detail is a must.

  • Can regularly lift, slide, or flip materials up to 80 lbs, and are comfortable with standing, bending, stooping, and twisting for long continuous periods.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment where finding and repairing defects is a top priority.

  • Possess the ability to identify and discern quality issues, make repairs as needed, and decide what is repairable to meet customer quality expectations and minimize cost of quality (COQ) impacts.

  • Are proficient in multitasking and assisting across different stages of production.
