Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Greer, South Carolina,29650
Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 3 PM to 1 AM
Pay rate: USD $ 22.20
Contract: 4-month duration (temp to hire)
Core Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment promptly, thoroughly, and cost-effectively
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks on assigned equipment and report findings
- Complete work orders and update the maintenance tracking system
- Identify/correct electrical issues, including drives and PLCs
- Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and downtime
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
- Address and rectify any immediate safety concerns for employees
- Maintain the building’s safety and appearance, including utilities, ventilation, housekeeping, and plumbing
- Communicate current and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager
- Perform welding (MIG and/or arc) as required
- Operate a forklift (training provided if needed)
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred (not required); certifications preferred but not required
- 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of experience and training
- Must understand and interpret gauges, tools, and instruments related to product quality and equipment repair
- Good working knowledge of electricity and troubleshooting
- Experience with PLCs and drives preferred
- Welding experience (MIG and/or arc) required
- Forklift operation experience required
