Job details

Job Title: Maintenance Technician  
Location: Greer, South Carolina,29650  
Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 3 PM to 1 AM
Pay rate: USD $ 22.20
Contract: 4-month duration (temp to hire) 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment promptly, thoroughly, and cost-effectively

  • Conduct preventive maintenance checks on assigned equipment and report findings

  • Complete work orders and update the maintenance tracking system

  • Identify/correct electrical issues, including drives and PLCs

  • Ensure machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and downtime

  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies

  • Address and rectify any immediate safety concerns for employees

  • Maintain the building’s safety and appearance, including utilities, ventilation, housekeeping, and plumbing

  • Communicate current and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager

  • Perform welding (MIG and/or arc) as required

  • Operate a forklift (training provided if needed)

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred (not required); certifications preferred but not required

  • 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of experience and training

  • Must understand and interpret gauges, tools, and instruments related to product quality and equipment repair

  • Good working knowledge of electricity and troubleshooting

  • Experience with PLCs and drives preferred

  • Welding experience (MIG and/or arc) required

  • Forklift operation experience required
