Sales Audit Coordinator

Pay: $20/hour
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Monday–Friday

Position Overview:
The Sales Audit Coordinator is responsible for auditing sales transactions across retail stores, convenience centers, and auto service centers. This role supports the contact center in resolving customer issues and monitors/reporting store non-compliance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and enjoys both independent and team-based work.

Essential Functions:

  • Audit daily sales totals for all locations, ensuring timely and accurate deposit of company receipts.

  • Perform monthly reconciliations for credit cards, checks, and depository accounts.

  • Execute daily sales audit activities for all locations.

  • Account for and ensure collection of all credit card chargebacks and returned checks.

  • Provide support to store team members regarding Point of Sale issues.

  • Investigate potential fraud and collaborate with Loss Prevention teams.

  • Follow up on Credit Card Exception Reports and reconcile general ledger accounts monthly.

  • Analyze data to identify sales metrics, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Prepare reports and ad-hoc analyses to support management in strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of two years of progressive experience in a similar role.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with process improvement preferred.

  • Ability to execute company policies and maintain effective internal controls.

  • Capable of working independently as well as within a group environment.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Flexible, organized, and able to work accurately under time constraints and deadlines.

  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; prior experience with ERP systems such as Oracle is preferred.
