CNC Field Service Technician – Northeast Region
Are you a skilled CNC professional with a passion for hands-on technical problem solving and a drive to make a real impact for customers? We are seeking an experienced CNC Field Service Technician to support a diverse range of manufacturing clients in the Northeast U.S., primarily focusing on Pennsylvania and New York.
About the Role:
In this dynamic field-based position, you will be the go-to expert installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining advanced CNC grinding and turning equipment. You’ll partner directly with customers, providing crucial technical solutions for industry-leading European and Swiss machine tool brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair CNC grinding and turning machines at customer facilities.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, servo, spindle, and PLC-related issues.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, perform machine alignments, and ensure peak equipment performance.
- Interpret and work from electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Deliver clear, thorough service documentation and communication to customers.
- Travel extensively throughout the Northeast region (approximately 60–80% travel).
What We’re Looking For:
- At least 2 years of hands-on CNC troubleshooting and repair experience; experience with CNC grinding equipment is strongly preferred.
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge of PLC systems and CNC controls (Fanuc experience a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics and drawings.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Self-motivation, ownership of your work, and a willingness to travel regularly.
- Valid Driver’s License and eligibility to work in the U.S.
Education:
Associate degree in Electronic Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent work experience will be considered.
