Job Title: Electronic Circuitry / Parts Assembler

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: Auburn, NY

$20/hr.

Position Summary:
The Electronic Circuitry / Parts Assembler I supports the assembly, testing, and inspection of precision optoelectronic products. This role works within a cleanroom and manufacturing environment, following detailed procedures to ensure high-quality production.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, align, and inspect precision components and systems

  • Perform basic assembly of cables, connectors and components

  • Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and procedures

  • Maintain cleanliness standards, especially for optics and sensitive components

  • Use small tools and equipment (e.g., arbor presses, soldering irons, polishing wheels)

  • Perform basic soldering and computer-based tasks

  • Adhere to PPE, ESD, safety, and cleanroom protocols

  • Support production schedules, including overtime when required

  • Provide feedback on product quality and process improvements

  • Comply with company policies, including ethics, safety, ISO standards, and continuous improvement initiatives

Role Levels & Responsibilities:
Assemblers

  • Follow established procedures to assemble components

  • Pre-assemble parts (dry fit) to ensure proper fit and alignment

  • Handle fragile components and assemblies with care

  • Fasten parts using bolts, clips, screws, or adhesives (epoxy)

  • Perform basic grinding and polishing of fiber optic or glass components

  • Rotate across workstations as needed

  • Operate small machines (arbor presses, soldering tools, fiber threader, etc….)

  • Maintain optical cleanliness and handle sensitive materials

  • Ensure compliance with cleanroom, PPE, and ESD requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)

  • Experience in electronics assembly, optics, or precision manufacturing preferred

  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and documentation

  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity

  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment
