Rate: $35/hr. (W2)
Contract Length: 6 month minimum + extension/opportunity for direct hire conversion  
1st Shift: 7am-3pm | Mon-Fri

Kelly Science and Clinical is leading the search for a skilled Laboratory Technician, preferably one with resin mixing experience, for a leading specialty chemical manufacturer.  

Responsibilities:

  • Creating outlines of mixing instructions mix sheets ensuring they comply with correct formulation and order of addition.

    • Mixing of potentially reactive chemicals and resins subject to runaway exothermic reactions if not handled correctly.

    • Chemicals and resins reactivity are sensitive to temperature of addition, order of addition, time of mix, and quantities of addition.


  • Must strictly adhere to mixing instructions to prevent any unnecessary risk when producing resins.

  • Due to the reactive nature of raw materials, the lab technician must properly label, store, and inventory all raw materials that enter the lab.

  • Must assist in the evaluation of raw material changes most commonly changing a single component per project.

  • Within this project a multiple of resin mixes are produced to evaluate before and after the change is made.

  • Must correctly document all materials and lots used in a specific resin mix to promote confidence in the evaluation of the component that is subject to change.

Education, Experience and Certifications:

  • High school diploma

  • Bachelor’s degree (in a science discipline preferred)
