Sample Intake Technician
Pay Rate: $15–$18/hour | Monday–Saturday with a weekday and Sunday off | 9am–5:30pm |

About This Job:
Are you ready to join a fast-paced lab team supporting over 200 clients in the food and nutrition industry? As a Sample Intake Technician, you will play a crucial role in the intake and tracking of over 30,000 client samples annually. You will ensure that every box received is organized, tracked, and stored properly—helping deliver quality results for every client.

What You’ll Do:

  • Receive and unbox samples shipped via UPS and FedEx (package handling only)

  • Sort and organize samples onto trays, apply barcoded stickers for tracking

  • Wear provided lab attire: gloves, lab coat, and company-issued shoes

  • Accurately enter sample details into the LIMS system

  • Expedite samples to Operations for timely analysis

  • Maintain meticulous records and effectively communicate any discrepancies

  • Monitor client submissions and identify new sample/testing profiles

  • Provide Certificates of Analysis (COAs) to clients as needed

  • Receive supply shipments and document vendor inaccuracies

  • Handle sample retention and retriever tasks, including logging retests

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 Quality Management standards

This Job Is For You If You Have:

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time-management skills

  • Ability to stand for your full shift and lift up to 10 lbs

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, ever-changing environment—no two days are alike!

  • Outgoing personality and willingness to ask questions and adapt

  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel

  • High school diploma and 0–2 years’ experience in a related field

Training & Team:

  • Begin with job shadowing for one month

  • Work alongside a close-knit team of 8
