Job Title: Contact Center Customer Service – Inbound I
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Location: Maryland Heights, MO
Pay: $21.03/hour
 


Position Overview

We are seeking detail-oriented and customer-focused professionals to join our team as Contact Center Customer Service Inbound Representatives on a short-term contract basis. In this role, you will support Freight Bill Audit processes and level 2 customer service issues related to shipping and transportation logistics. The team will be distributing six new team members across several areas, focusing on backfill duties and investigative support for missing or delayed carrier tracking data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and resolve customer inquiries related to missing freight bill or delivery tracking information

  • Navigate carrier websites to enter tracking numbers and identify the current status of shipments

  • Follow established processes to audit shipping data and address issues where tracking information is incomplete or missing

  • Document and escalate findings in line with company protocols

  • Provide high-quality customer service regarding shipping, tracking, and transportation inquiries

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely communication with customers

  • Utilize provided laptops and other IT resources to manage and track tasks efficiently

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service, contact center, or transportation/logistics environment preferred

  • Experience with freight billing, auditing, or shipping and delivery processes is a plus

  • Strong research and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to navigate websites and enter data accurately

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Comfortable with technology and working in a fast-paced environment

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures

Additional Information

  • Laptops will be provided by IT for this assignment

  • Candidates must be able to start immediately and work on-site at the location specified

  • This is a short-term contract role, designed to provide critical backfill and support for distribution, shipping, and auditing teams
