Setup and Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Enfield, CT
Pay: $22–$25 per hour
Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday–Thursday, 11:30 AM – 10:00 PM


General Summary

We are seeking a skilled Setup and Maintenance Mechanic to support the installation, setup, and ongoing maintenance of mailing equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely while maintaining a clean and secure work environment. Safety, quality, and security are top priorities in this position.


Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Previous mechanical work experience required

  • Experience in the mailing industry preferred, but not required (training provided for the right candidate)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong mechanical aptitude

  • Basic computer proficiency

  • Basic electrical knowledge is a plus

  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and job orders

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, and troubleshoot mailing equipment in a timely manner

  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed

  • Interpret job work orders to ensure accurate machine setup

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment

  • Maintain machine maintenance logs and records

  • Track and manage inventory of parts and supplies

  • Assist in keeping the parts department clean, organized, and efficient

  • Follow all production department standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements, product quality standards, and production efficiency goals

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and secure work environment at all times
