Warehouse Associate  Material Handler– MRC Global

Location: Charlotte, NC
Position: Warehouse Associate
Pay Rate – $17 – $18
Schedule – Mon – Friday 
Requirement: Must have a valid Driver’s License

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Warehouse Associate to support warehouse operations, inventory movement, shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment. This role helps maintain the flow of stocked and delivered materials by pulling orders, loading trucks, stocking inventory, and accurately updating warehouse records.

The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This position may require use of forklifts, overhead cranes, and other warehouse equipment as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unload materials, tools, and equipment from vendor trucks

  • Inspect incoming materials for quality and accuracy

  • Stock and transfer materials to proper shelves, bins, racks, or storage areas

  • Mark materials with correct identifying information

  • Pull and assemble customer orders from stock

  • Package orders in boxes or on pallets based on customer requirements

  • Load orders onto the correct truck or move them to the packing area

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

  • Valid Driver’s License required

  • Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or material handling experience preferred

  • Forklift experience required

  • Basic computer and typing skills

  • Basic math and reading skills

  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and company procedures

  • Ability to read and speak English to understand safety instructions and communicate effectively

Work Environment

  • Warehouse/distribution setting

  • Exposure to moving equipment and warehouse traffic

  • May involve lifting, bending, standing, walking, and moving materials throughout the shift

  • PPE and safety procedures required as applicable
