Kelly is hiring a Machine Operator on behalf of a global manufacturer of gear pumps, pelletizing and filtration systems for chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food industry. With us, it’s all about finding the job that’s just right.

Weekend Shift

  • Friday – Sunday

  • 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Training Period

  • 3–6 months on 1st and/or 2nd shift

  • Monday–Thursday training schedule

  • Some flexibility available during training

  • Transition to weekend shift after training completion and operational need

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

  • Set up and operate machine shop equipment

  • Manufacture precision components to required tolerances

  • Select proper cutting tools and materials

  • Adjust machine settings including speeds, feeds, and depth of cut

  • Perform inspections using precision measuring instruments

  • Document production and quality data accurately

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Follow all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) procedures

Work Environment

Machine shop setting

  • Exposure to:

    • Moving mechanical equipment

    • Metal shavings and airborne particles

    • Sharp cutting tools


  • PPE and hearing protection required at all times

Physical Requirements

  • Stand, walk, and bend throughout shift

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Strong visual abilities including:

    • Close and distance vision

    • Color and depth perception

    • Ability to adjust focus

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on machine shop experience

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Quality-focused mindset and strong work ethic

Preferred

Technical certification or vocational training in Machining Technology

  • Experience with surface and O.D. grinding:

  • Advanced blueprint reading skills
