Program Management / Medical Affairs Intern/Co-Op (Undergraduate)
Location: Johnson & Johnson -Horsham ,PA
Role -Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days remote
Duration – Contract – 3 months
Rate Range – $25.00/hr to $35.00/hr
US Medical Affairs, Hematology, focuses on building the medical strategy and providing medical education for some of Johnson & Johnson’s biggest assets – including IMBRUVICA®, DARZALEX®, TALVEY™, and TECVAYLI™. At J&J Hematology, we are dedicated to providing cutting-edge and innovative therapies with the goal of eventually curing blood cancers!
Overview:
We are seeking motivated students to join our team this summer for an exciting internship! Ideal candidates will be pursuing a degree in the sciences or business (engineering, pharmacy, medicine, business, or similar) with a keen interest in the pharmaceutical industry. This 3-month internship offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects that directly contribute to our mission of advancing patient care. The role is perfect for students with strong research and analytical skills, a keen interest in medicine, and a desire to innovate solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management
- Collaborate closely with the Program Management team and stakeholders across the Medical Affairs organization to launch key 2025 priorities, including the Scientific Journey, Launch Excellence, and AI integration/optimization.
- Assist in building slide decks for team meetings.
- Support tracking of project milestones; communicate and follow up on key deliverables with stakeholders.
- Help optimize current and future ways of working.
- Assist in building agendas and taking meeting minutes for cross-functional projects.
- Support development of Medical Affairs Key Institutional Engagement plans.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, biology, life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or business.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Passionate about a healthcare career, particularly innovation and process optimization.
- Strong research and data analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
- Exceptional interpersonal and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to influence others and execute plans effectively.
Preferred (not mandatory):
- Project management skills and ability to navigate large, matrixed organizations.
- Experience collaborating with internal/external partners.
- Learning agility, speed, and intellectual curiosity.
- Ability to develop strong partnerships and add value through insights.
- Clear, concise communication.
- Prior experience in pharma/healthcare, marketing, sales, business analytics, consulting, management, or related field.
