What’s a typical day as Automotive Engineering Technician? You’ll be:

  • Performing part duplication testing, maintenance, service, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, port modifications, and repairs on engineering fleet vehicles

  • Conducting a full range of service, maintenance, and repair on engineering fleet vehicles

  • Installing incident warranty return parts with engineering teams

  • Assisting engineers with root cause analysis

  • Preparing engines and transmissions for scrap

  • Conducting weekly inspections of shop equipment and hoists

  • Assisting with fleet vehicle maintenance, tracking, and chemical spills

  • Maintaining garage housekeeping standards

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a strong technical automotive background, including incident analysis, diagnostics, and repair skills

  • Possess excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Are highly organized with good attention to detail

  • Have working knowledge of Word and Excel software, and general office equipment

  • Bring three to five years of experience as an automotive technician at a dealership or automotive manufacturer

  • Hold a high school diploma or G.E.D.

  • Have an automotive technical degree or equivalent training (preferred)

  • Hold ASE Master Technician certification (preferred)
