What’s a typical day as Material Handler? You’ll be:
- Receiving raw materials, production orders, and finished goods inventory (FGI) units.
- Supporting material transfers for production builds across multiple warehouse locations.
- Processing all revenue and non-revenue shipments to achieve 100% on-time delivery.
- Completing daily cycle counts and controlling inventory status to achieve warehouse and dollar accuracy goals.
- Ensuring compliance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Utilizing material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and dollies.
- Resolving purchase order discrepancies and receiving problems.
- Pulling and kitting parts for production builds and packaging FGI units.
- Preparing international shipments and ensuring proper export documentation.
- Coordinating internal deliveries between facilities and managing reusable packaging.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have an AA or AS degree or equivalent work experience (preferred).
- Possess a minimum of three years’ experience in material control and shipping/receiving.
- Have hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and are proficient in inventory tracking/order fulfillment systems.
- Demonstrate strong independent judgment and can work with minimal supervision.
- Are skilled with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel for recordkeeping.
- Have solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Can effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Understand shipping, receiving, inventory management, and dispensing in a GMP-regulated environment.
- Have experience with international shipments coordination.
- Are able to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Can work overtime as required and thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Are able to comply with ISO 13485 and 21 CFR 820 regulations.
