Targeted pay rate: $29-38/hr depending upon qualification
 
Kelly Engineering seeks a skilled Field Installation & Commissioning Technician to join our client’s team. In this role, you’ll be supporting advanced robotics and automation systems at the client location by bringing robotics systems to life.

Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site commissioning and verification testing of robotic systems and sub-assemblies

  • Conduct flow and performance testing to ensure reliability, efficiency, and throughput

  • Troubleshoot issues impacting system functionality, safety, or performance

  • Support engineering teams with system tuning, calibration, and adjustments to meet specs

  • Assist installation teams with on-site setup as needed

  • Provide status updates to internal and external stakeholders

  • Document results, share feedback with Deployment Engineers, and support continuous improvements

What You’ll Need:

  • 1+ year commissioning robotic systems or equipment, preferably in industrial automation, material handling, warehousing, or logistics

  • Willingness to travel up to 100% (domestic and international) across North America

  • Working knowledge of software, mechanical, and electrical systems with hands-on troubleshooting and configuration experience

  • Proficient in safely using hand tools

  • Comfortable working with computers and software; networking knowledge is a plus

  • Comfortable working at heights

  • Post-secondary education or certification in mechatronics, robotics, mechanical, or electrical engineering (preferred)

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to robotics

  • Experience in warehouse, logistics, or material handling automation

  • Certifications: OSHA 10, NFPF 70E, Scissor Lift

Ability to meet physical demands of job:

  • Use and manipulation of standard hand tools

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

  • Working from heights of up to 50 ft

  • Use and operation of lifts with a manufacturer?rated capacity of 250 lbs., including tools and equipment

  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling to access and repair equipment at ground level

  • Working on overhead equipment, including extended reaching and manual dexterity
