Job Title: Plant General  
Location: 16065 Imperial Parkway, Strongsville, OH 44149  
Work Schedule: Mon – Fri, From 7:00 am to 3:30 pm  
Pay rate: USD $ 17.00  
Contract: 4- months – Temp to hire

Summary:
The Plant General position supports operations in a light manufacturing environment by performing all stages of fabrication and finishing processes for wood products. Responsibilities include operating machinery, conducting quality checks, assisting with production setups, and handling general labor duties to maintain safety, quality, and housekeeping standards. Opportunities are available for both day and night shift crews, with flexibility for overtime and occasional weekends.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and complete all stages of the fabrication and finishing process, including cutting, shaping, sanding, assembling, coating, and finishing wood products

  • Use machinery, tools, and UV equipment according to safety and quality guidelines

  • Ensure product quality by verifying dimensions and inspecting materials for defects

  • Perform general labor tasks such as cleaning, painting, labeling, hauling pallets, etc.

  • Meet and exceed all housekeeping, safety standards, and training requirements

  • Assist operators with changeovers, setups, adjustments for production activities, and shutdown operations

  • Relieve into production roles as assigned and trained

  • Maintain equipment during down periods (non-maintenance capacity), including cleaning tasks

  • Complete all job assignments, including preventive maintenance tasks

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a light manufacturing environment preferred

  • Good communication skills and ability to interact with production team, plant staff, and management

  • Ability to climb stairs, stand for 2–3 hours at a time, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs

  • Consistent and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • Positions available on day and night shift crews

  • Must be available for overtime and occasional weekend work

  • Work is primarily indoors; may experience warm or cool temperatures due to seasonal fluctuations
