Lead a High-Growth Food Operations Business
An industry-leading food production and distribution company is seeking a strategic, servant-minded General Manager to lead one of the largest and most complex facilities in its network. This is an opportunity to run a business within a business — with full ownership mindset, operational influence, and significant visibility across the organization.
This 100,000 sq. ft. operation is the company’s largest facility and includes:
- Full-service protein production operations
- Cut shop, grinding, poultry, fresh fish, frozen specialty, and value-added production
- Box-in / box-out capabilities
- Nearly every product category produced and sold under one roof
The facility supports a large regional customer footprint and generates approximately $315M in annual revenue with a team of 315 employees.
If you are an entrepreneurial operator who thrives in fast-paced food production environments and believes leadership starts with serving your people, this role offers exceptional career growth and long-term opportunity.
Why This Role Stands Out
- Run the operation like your own business
- Significant ownership of the P&L and operational strategy
- Strong executive visibility and influence
- Aggressive company growth and acquisition strategy
- Expansion plans already underway for the Atlanta operation
- Opportunity to build culture, develop leaders, and shape the future of the business
What You’ll Do
As General Manager, you will lead the strategic vision and daily execution of a large-scale food production and distribution operation while driving operational excellence, financial performance, and people development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day operational and financial performance of the facility
- Own and drive P&L performance, including sales, margin, expenses, and earnings
- Develop and execute Annual Operating Plans (AOP)
- Participate in long-range strategic planning initiatives
- Build and maintain a high-performance, people-first culture
- Mentor, coach, and develop leadership teams across departments
- Remove barriers and support teams through servant leadership
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, HR, Warehousing, Transportation, and Marketing
- Drive operational efficiencies through KPI management and continuous improvement
- Lead hiring, retention, succession planning, and leadership development efforts
- Maintain visibility and engagement across both day and night shift operations
- Make decisive business decisions with accountability and confidence
What We’re Looking For
Leadership Traits
- Servant leader mentality
- Strong team-builder and culture creator
- Excellent communicator across all levels of the organization

- 10+ years of management experience
- 5+ years as a General Manager preferred
- Director of Operations experience at minimum
- Experience managing a P&L ($50M+ required; $100M–$200M+ strongly preferred)
- Production/manufacturing operations background
- Food industry experience required
- Meat and/or seafood experience strongly preferred
- Experience in high-volume distribution or food manufacturing environments
- Ability to relocate within close proximity to the facility
Additional Qualifications

- Experience leading large teams in complex operations
- Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable working across warehouse, transportation, sales, finance, and production teams
- Bilingual skills are a plus
