Talent & Workforce/Planning Lead Specialist
Kelly Engineering is currently hiring a Talent & Workforce/Planning Lead Specialist for one of our medical device clients in Jacksonville, FL.
Role Summary:

  • The Talent Workforce Planning Lead is responsible for the end-to-end management of Early-in-Career talent pipelines, including Co-op and Graduate programs, while also leading workforce planning, headcount governance, and data-driven reporting.

  • In addition, the role owns and supports key organizational talent management processes, including succession planning, annual talent review and calibration cycles, and development planning across all levels.

  • The role ensures alignment between current and future talent needs and business demand through robust analytics, strategic workforce insights, and strong partnership with HR and business leadership.

  • This position plays a critical role in connecting talent strategy with workforce planning, ensuring a sustainable pipeline of capability, leadership readiness, and effective deployment of talent across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Talent Management, Succession Planning Development Lead and coordinate key talent management processes, including succession planning, annual talent review and calibration cycles, ensuring alignment with organizational talent strategy

  • Partner with leadership teams to identify critical roles, assess succession pipelines, and highlight talent gaps and development needs

  • Facilitate and support calibration discussions to ensure consistent and objective assessment of performance and potential across functions

  • Drive talent development initiatives across all levels, including early-career Co-op/Graduate , mid-career, and leadership populations, ensuring clear development pathways and retention strategies

  • Leverage data and insights to inform talent decisions, track progression of high-potential employees, and support workforce planning priorities

  • Ensure integration between talent planning and workforce planning, linking succession pipelines with future headcount and capability requirements

Co-op Graduate Program Management

  • Lead the full lifecycle of Co-op and Graduate programs, including workforce planning, recruitment coordination, onboarding, development, and offboarding

  • Partner with universities and internal stakeholders to build a strong early-career talent pipeline

  • Ensure structured program design rotations, mentorship, performance tracking, and development plans

  • Manage program milestones such as inductions, check-ins, midpoints, and final presentations

  • Drive continuous improvement of program experience and retention strategy

Workforce Planning Headcount Management

  • Own and maintain accurate headcount tracking across functions including FTE, contractors, and vacancies

  • Track and reconcile actual vs planned headcount, identifying gaps and risks analysis in Eng JU HC

  • Support staffing governance processes, including submission tracking, approvals, and requisition management

  • Maintain and update headcount tracking tools ensuring data accuracy and consistency

  • Provide insights on hiring demand, attrition trends, and capacity forecasting

Data Analysis Reporting

  • Develop and deliver regular reporting dashboards on: Headcount and hiring status Graduate Co-op pipeline metrics

  • Open roles and approval status

  • Attrition and workforce trends

  • Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for leadership decision-making Support ad hoc analysis requests from HR, finance, and business leaders

  • Ensure data integrity across systems e.g., Workday, Excel trackers, governance files

Stakeholder Management Collaboration Partner with: HR Business Partners Functional leaders Finance / Workforce planning teams

  • Act as a key point of contact for early-career hiring and headcount queries.

  • Present updates and insights to senior leadership in a clear and structured format

  • Process Governance Continuous Improvement

  • Establish and maintain governance process
