Quality Control Inspector – Temp-to-Hire

Location: Yucaipa, CA 92399
Pay Rate: $18.00 – $23.00 + hour, (based on experience)
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Position Summary
We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented individuals to join our Quality Assurance team as Quality Control Inspectors. This position is responsible for inspecting products and verifying they meet company and customer quality standards. Placement level and pay rate will be determined based on experience, technical knowledge, and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect products using quality control plans, inspection procedures, and work instructions.

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections using manual and automated equipment.

  • Operate measuring tools and inspection equipment, including TESA, OGP, pin gages, drop gages, concentricity gages, micrometers, and microscopes.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.

  • Verify product conformance to company and customer quality standards.

  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming products.

  • Perform sorting, lot control, and inspection documentation as needed.

  • Complete required inspection reports, quality records, and basic computer data entry.

  • Set up, verify, and assist with calibration of inspection equipment as needed.

  • Assist with root cause investigations, corrective actions, audits, and quality improvement activities.

  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve quality concerns.

  • Support team members and assist with training as needed.

  • Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, hazardous material guidelines, and quality procedures.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

  • Communicate effectively and work well in a team environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Technical training or quality certifications are a plus.

  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Basic computer and data entry skills.

  • Ability to perform basic shop math.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

  • Level placement will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, technical knowledge, and qualifications.
