Medical Quality Inspector
Location: Attleboro, MA
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00+/hour (Based on Experience)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Important Note
This is a true Quality Inspector position within a medical device manufacturing environment. This is not a sorting or inspection-only role. Candidates must have previous quality inspection experience and a strong understanding of inspection tools, measurement techniques, and quality standards used in medical device manufacturing.
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Quality Inspector to join a growing medical manufacturing team in Attleboro, MA. The ideal candidate will have at least 1–2 years of quality inspection experience within a medical device or highly regulated manufacturing environment and be comfortable performing visual, dimensional, and quality testing using a variety of inspection tools and equipment.
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring products meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards through accurate inspection, testing, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities

Perform visual inspection of plated and unplated components using the unaided eye and microscopic examination.

Conduct dimensional and thickness testing utilizing inspection equipment such as:

X-ray measurement systems
-
Micrometers
-
Calipers
-
Indicators
-
Air gauges
-
Sunnen gauges
-

Perform adhesion testing according to customer specifications and company procedures.

Accurately document inspection results, testing data, and quality records.
-
Review products against customer requirements, engineering drawings, blueprints, and quality standards.

Utilize vision systems and optical comparators to verify product compliance.
-
Identify and report nonconforming materials and quality issues.
-
Maintain inspection equipment and ensure work areas remain clean and organized.
-
Support continuous quality improvement initiatives and comply with all company quality procedures.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
Required Qualifications
-
Minimum 1–2 years of Quality Inspection experience in a medical device manufacturing environment.

Experience inspecting precision components and medical products.
-
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.

Proficiency using precision measuring instruments including:

Micrometers
-
Calipers
-
Indicators
-
Air gauges
-
Sunnen gauges
-

Experience with vision systems and optical comparators.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.

Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Medical device manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

Experience working in ISO-regulated or FDA-regulated environments.

Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and testing methodologies.

Familiarity with plating, coatings, and surface finish inspections.

Ability to perform close visual inspections, including color differentiation and microscopic examination.

Ability to bend, reach, crouch, kneel, and work in various manufacturing positions as required.

This position is performed in a manufacturing environment where employees may be exposed to:
