Job details

Key Objectives:

  • Oversee all financial duties, ensuring compliance with fiscal, legal, and group reporting requirements.

  • Guide financial decision-making by establishing and enforcing company policies.

  • Design, implement, and maintain effective financial controls.

  • Support both immediate and long-term business objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, treasury, payroll, and asset management.

  • Take charge of accounting operations, with the opportunity to hire and supervise additional staff as the organization expands.

  • Handle monthly financial closing and reporting to the Group.

  • Prepare yearly financial statements, ensuring alignment with US GAAP and Group standards.

  • Develop and oversee the annual budget and forecasts.

  • Provide necessary financial documents and reports to the Parent Company.

  • Ensure adherence to accounting policies issued by the Parent Company.

  • Set up internal controls to safeguard company assets and transactions.

  • Oversee accounting and tax matters related to cross-border activities, particularly those involving Mexican operations, ensuring compliance with US laws and Group policies.

  • Participate in audits and consult with external advisors.

Candidate Profile:

  • At least six years of experience in senior accounting or finance roles (experience in manufacturing, especially automotive, highly preferred).

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field.

  • CPA or CA certification required.

  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams in lean environments.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong understanding of national and local tax laws and compliance.

  • Familiarity with financial project management and technology tools.

  • Proficient in SAP (ERP) and Intuit QuickBooks.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
