Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shift (6:00 pm – 6:00 am), 2-2-3 schedule


Job Overview

We are seeking entry-level Packaging Machine Operators to join our production team in Mt. Vernon, OH. This role is essential to the packaging and quality of our finished goods and includes routine cleaning, machine operation, and supporting processes throughout the facility. Key Responsibilities

  • Spot and move outbound trucks to material load docks, ensuring proper dock-lock procedures

  • Reclaim off-quality Unbonded Loosefill and refeed materials to forehearth

  • Operate the packaging equipment by placing bags on bagger snouts and ensuring proper packaging of finished material

  • Perform general cleanup duties (sweeping floors, blowing down lines/robots, cleaning break rooms, etc.)

  • Assist with Preventative Maintenance processes

  • Fulfill special needs or tasks as determined by plant staff

  • Participate actively in plant safety and housekeeping programs

Preferred Experience

  • 1–3 years manufacturing experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

  • Understand verbal and written instructions

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to multi-task effectively

  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills

  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment

  • Intermediate mathematical skills required
