What’s a typical day as Logistics Specialist? You’ll be:
- Analyzing transportation and distribution systems to ensure efficient and cost-effective product delivery.
- Reviewing proposals and making recommendations for modifications in rates and transportation regulations.
- Evaluating freight classifications, tariff rates, and operational efficiency to guarantee proper product delivery.
- Planning and coordinating fleet operations, including acquisition, scheduling, maintenance, repair, and disposal of trucks.
- Managing relationships with common carriers and third-party transportation companies as needed.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a logistics or coordinator role (must have).
- Hold a High School diploma or equivalent (must have).
- Possess experience with compliance and certification management, background checks, and drug screens (must have).
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of transportation regulations and fleet coordination (must have).
