Inventory Control Specialist – Manufacturing | $23/hr

Full-Time | $23.00/hour

Kelly® is hiring an experienced Inventory Control/Purchasing Specialist to support Stanley Black & Decker’s manufacturing operations in East Longmeadow, MA. This role is responsible for managing inventory levels, ordering maintenance supplies, partnering with suppliers, and supporting process improvements to help keep production running efficiently.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage Maintenance, Repair, and Operating (MRO) inventory to ensure critical supplies are available and reduce equipment downtime

  • Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock quantities

  • Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, purchasing, and suppliers to support business needs

  • Support inventory improvement and cost-reduction initiatives

  • Monitor supplier performance and inventory-related metrics

  • Maintain compliance with purchasing policies and procedures

  • Utilize SAP and other inventory systems to manage materials and purchasing activities

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of purchasing and/or inventory control experience (manufacturing experience preferred)

  • Strong understanding of MRO inventory management and materials processes

  • Experience using SAP or similar inventory management systems

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple teams

  • High School Diploma or GED required
