Research Assistant / Field Technician – Contract Opportunity

Kelly Science & Clinical is currently seeking a Research Assistant / Field Technician for a contract opportunity with a confidential agricultural and life sciences client in North Charleston, SC.

This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with basic laboratory experience who are eager to gain hands-on experience in agricultural research and field operations.

North Charleston, SC

Schedule

  • Day Shift

  • Monday–Friday

  • 40 hours/week

  • Start time between 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM

  • No overtime anticipated

Pay Rate

  • $20.00/hour

Contract Type

  • Temporary / Contract Position

  • Initial assignment with potential extension based on business needs

  • No permanent conversion anticipated at this time

Position Overview

This role will primarily support outdoor agricultural research activities, with a strong emphasis on field work conducted in outdoor conditions. Candidates should be comfortable working outside for extended periods and be willing to assist with a variety of research support activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist research staff with field trial activities and data collection

  • Support planting, sampling, monitoring, and general outdoor research operations

  • Maintain accurate records and follow established procedures

  • Assist with basic laboratory support activities as needed

  • Follow all safety and operational protocols

Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Agriculture, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related scientific field preferred

  • Recent graduates encouraged to apply

  • Basic laboratory experience is a plus

  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude required

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity

  • Reliable transportation and strong attendance required
