Pay : $30-$40/hrs Based on experience
Job Summary:
- As such, is responsible for installing, repairing, overhauling, and maintaining the USP water room systems and equipment, perform tasks within the Manufacturing group and perform other related tasks supporting site maintenance and services.
- Standard operating procedures (SOP) and environmental, health and safety-related policies.
- Performs scheduled Preventive Maintenance (PM) checks and services on the USP purified water system to include pumps, vapor compression stills, ion exchange columns, softeners, carbon filters, singularly or as a team with other trades as assigned.
- Able to locate information in operator equipment manuals.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and coordinate the shutdown of equipment for maintenance with work groups.
- Performs routine PM’s, checks for proper operations of the equipment and reports deficiencies.
- Maintains maintenance vehicles, golf carts, and yard equipment as needed. Inspects and drains all outdoor storage tank spill containments as needed per company policies.
- Off loads diesel fuel to all outdoor equipment storage tanks.
- Primary USP mechanic responsible for maintaining water softeners, assisting with the changing of carbon filters, bulk unloading and tank cleaning. Duties include but are not limited to performing unloading bulk material at the site, Evacuating excess material from tanks before cleaning, cleaning tanks, distribution piping, hoses, and fittings. Sanitizing equipment prior to use
- Performs other USP/Manufacturing duties- cleans hoses, cleans tanks, sanitizes hoses and tanks, passivizes equipment and fittings.
- Assists in pump removals, pump installs, and pump rebuilds. Attends to other duties as directed by manager or group leader.
- Maintains and inspects equipment associated with the Lift Station including pumps, tanks, chemical storage, chemical treatment, chemical unloading, heat tracing, inspection checks and PM’s.
- Works together as a team with other trades as assigned.
- Able to work assist other groups and assist with misc. tasks that require additional manpower. Assists in delivering recycled material to its proper holding location.
- May be required to assist in snow removal from parking lot and side walk areas.
- Communicates safety concerns, equipment deficiencies, and improvement opportunities to group leader or supervisor.
- High School diploma.
- Experience working in a manufacturing facility.
