Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Production Associate in Melrose Park, IL.

Must haves:

  • Solid work history

  • Production in a manufacturing environment

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Strong math skills

This is a contract to hire opportunity, meaning you will get hired directly after 3-4 months, depending on your performance and attendance.

Available shifts and pay:
Mon-Fri: 8:15am – 5pm
$20 – $22/hr.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble hydraulic hose assemblies and related components according to work orders, specifications, and customer requirements

  • Read and interpret pick tickets, work orders, assembly instructions, and product specifications accurately

  • Verify hose sizes, fittings, lengths, and materials prior to assembly and shipment

  • Operate production equipment including crimpers, saws, and other shop tools safely and efficiently

  • Perform quality checks on completed assemblies to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards

  • Assist with pressure testing and documentation when required

  • Label, package, and prepare completed assemblies for shipment or staging

  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of production areas, workstations, tools, and inventory locations

  • Assist with material handling, stocking, put-away, and inventory organization as needed

  • Work closely with Shipping & Receiving, Warehouse, and Inside Sales to prioritize urgent and customer-critical orders

  • Communicate production concerns, shortages, or quality issues to supervisors promptly

  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times

  • Support overtime and additional workload requirements during busy periods when needed

Experience needed:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, assembly, or production experience preferred

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn production processes

  • Ability to read measurements accurately and use basic hand tools

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Basic computer skills preferred

  • Forklift experience is a plus, but not required
