Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $20-$23/hr

Shift: Overtime required, All shifts available(1st-3rd)

What’s a typical day as Production Packer? You’ll be:

  • Ensuring quality assay manufacturing by following standard procedures for dispensing biological reagents, reagent and buffer preparation

  • Printing labels, labeling bottles, vials, and boxes, packaging, sealing, and scanning of assays

  • Performing production tasks on different product lines as needed

  • Responsible for safe and secure storage and monitoring of inventories, products, and in-house supplies

  • Setting up and operating equipment of moderate complexity and updating raw material inventories

  • Assisting in processing final product and preparing buffer solutions

  • Maintaining a safe environment, developing and writing necessary protocols, solving department problems, handling multiple tasks and projects, assisting supervisor in all aspects of manufacturing, and maintaining confidentiality

  • Notifying supervisor of unsafe conditions and taking corrective actions

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have a High School diploma or GED (required); Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or Chemistry preferred

  • Bring at least two years of laboratory, manufacturing, or packaging experience (required)

  • Possess knowledge of laboratory procedures and practices

  • Are proficient with basic Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Have the ability to organize, handle biological and chemical reagents, and lift objects (including lab instrumentation) up to 35 pounds

  • Can wear steel toe or composite toe footwear as required

  • Are able to read, write, and understand English, and can perform simple math

  • Demonstrate excellent hand/eye coordination

  • Are comfortable working overtime and in a cleanroom dress environment

  • Can adhere to assigned work schedules and maintain confidentiality
