Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 1st Shift
Pay rate: USD $23.00 – 24.00 /hour
Contract: Temp to hire

Job Summary

The Crating Coordinator supports the warehouse team by constructing custom crates, pallets, and boxes for shipping critical finished goods worldwide. This position primarily involves hands-on work with power tools such as drills, saws, and nail guns, and requires experience in framing, carpentry, construction, or similar fields. The role also includes picking, packing, and managing large outbound shipments via LTL and full truckload, working closely with Supply Chain and management to prioritize orders. Additional duties include operating forklift trucks and pallet jacks, tracking crating materials inventory, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring accurate shipment documentation for domestic and international customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and prepare crates, pallets, and boxes using hand and power tools

  • Pick, pack, load and unload freight; consolidate outgoing orders

  • Read and interpret shipping notices and order specifications

  • Collaborate with internal teams on shipment priorities and inventory control

  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided)

  • Ensure safety standards and maintain a clean work area

  • Provide accurate shipping information to office staff

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience (framing/carpentry/construction/warehousing)

  • Forklift experience preferred (must be able to drive after training)

  • Proficient with woodworking and power tools

  • Basic computer skills, experience with ERP (Microsoft Navision), UPS, FedEx, DHL

PPE:
Steel-toed boots required; additional PPE provided as needed
