Cummins – Machine Operator

Location: Columbus, Indiana
Job Description:
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for feeding metal parts into machinery and ensuring the equipment successfully performs the welding process. You will also conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet the required standards. This is a repetitive role requiring you to stand for the entire shift and regularly lift metal parts weighing up to 25 lbs. Steel-toed shoes are required.
Responsibilities:

  • Feed the machine with metal parts for the welding process.

  • Monitor machine operation during production.

  • Perform quality control inspections on produced parts.

  • Keep the work area clean and organized.

  • Follow all established safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods.

  • Capability to routinely lift metal parts (up to 25 lbs).

  • Attention to detail and strong focus on quality.

  • Previous experience in an industrial environment or as a machine operator (preferred, not required).

  • Commitment to safety and teamwork.

  • Steel-toed shoes required.

Available Schedules:

  • A Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM ($16.50/hr)

  • B Shift: Wednesday–Saturday, 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM ($17.25/hr)

  • C Shift:

    • Monday & Tuesday, 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM ($17.50/hr)

    • Friday & Saturday, 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM


  • Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM ($16.50/hr)

  • Night Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM ($17.25/hr)

  • Saturday hours may be required based on business needs.
