Location: Franklin, MA
Shifts Available: 1st (6am – 2:30pm or 7am – 3:30pm) and 2nd (2:30pm – 11pm)
Pay Rate: $23.00 ~ $27.00
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Electronics Technician II to join our manufacturing team in Franklin, MA. In this role, you will be responsible for building, wiring, assembling, and testing electrical control panels, junction boxes, and related subassemblies according to engineering specifications and customer requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience reading electrical schematics, performing point-to-point wiring, and assembling industrial control systems. This position also provides opportunities to support and mentor junior technicians while taking ownership of customer projects from assembly through completion.
Key Responsibilities

Build, wire, and assemble electrical control panels, junction boxes, and subassemblies according to engineering drawings and customer specifications.

Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, bills of materials (BOMs), work orders, and technical specifications.

Perform point-to-point wiring and install components including:
-
PLCs
-
Relays
-
Switches
-
Indicator lights
-
Terminal blocks
-
Sensors and other electrical devices
-

Drill, tap, cut, deburr, grind, and prepare panel enclosures and mounting surfaces.

Install finished assemblies and subassemblies into cabinets, consoles, and control systems.

Utilize hand and power tools including wire strippers, crimpers, screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, drills, and saws.

Review and redline documentation as needed to support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).

Troubleshoot assembly and wiring issues and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians.

Take ownership of assigned customer projects and support project completion goals.

Move materials safely throughout the facility using hand pallet jacks and approved material handling equipment.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Work overtime as required to meet production schedules and customer commitments.
Qualifications
Required
-
High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Minimum of 4 years of experience building and wiring electrical control panels.
-
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

Experience with mechanical assembly and electrical wiring of industrial control panels and operator consoles.

Strong understanding of electrical circuits, components, and current flow.

Proficiency using hand and power tools for drilling, tapping, cutting, and assembly.

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Preferred
-
Technical Certificate or vocational training in Electrical Controls, Electronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field.

Experience working with PLC-based control systems.

Prior experience leading projects or mentoring less experienced technicians.
Physical Requirements

Frequently lift and move materials weighing up to 30 pounds.

Stand for extended periods during the workday.

Regular use of hand and power tools.

Perform repetitive hand and arm movements associated with assembly and wiring work.
Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing environment. Employees are required to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include:

Loose-fitting clothing and jewelry are not permitted in production areas.
