Position Type: Contractor (Temp-to-Perm)
Shift: 3rd Shift, Sunday to Thursday, 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM
Location: Levittown, PA 
Pay Rate: $26.00/hour 


Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of industrial mail sorting and production equipment.
This is not a residential maintenance, facilities maintenance, apartment maintenance, or handyman position. Qualified candidates must have hands-on experience maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing industrial machinery and automated equipment in a manufacturing, production, warehouse automation, distribution, or industrial environment.
The ideal candidate is a performance-driven contributor who can effectively troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues on industrial equipment. This individual is self-motivated, safety-focused, and continuously seeks opportunities to improve equipment reliability, increase operational efficiency, and reduce downtime.
Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on industrial machinery and automated production equipment.

  • Maintain and repair conveyor systems, PLC-controlled equipment, industrial mail sorters, printers, and other electromechanical production equipment.

  • Perform preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and equipment installations according to established quality and safety standards.

  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial systems including:

    • Conveyor and belt/pulley systems

    • Hydraulic and pneumatic components

    • Motors and drive assemblies

    • Photo-eyes and sensors

    • Relays and contactors

    • Limit switches

    • Proximity sensors

    • Solenoids


  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations to minimize production downtime.

  • Evaluate equipment failures, identify root causes, and complete repairs in a timely manner.

  • Utilize inventory management systems, PM schedules, and work order systems to effectively track maintenance activities and reduce downtime.

  • Maintain spare parts and maintenance inventory utilizing EAM/CMMS systems.

  • Use tablets and computerized maintenance systems to document repairs, track machine downtime, and record parts usage.

  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct industrial maintenance experience troubleshooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical and electrical equipment.

  • Strong experience servicing conveyor systems, PLC-controlled equipment, and industrial electromechanical production machinery.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment failures and perform mechanical and electrical repairs independently.

  • Experience using a multimeter and other electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, charts, service manuals, and parts diagrams.

  • Knowledge of industrial electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

  • Familiarity with Windows-based computer systems as they relate to automated equipment operation and maintenance.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to establish priorities and work effectively under deadline pressures.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.

  • Ability to work around moving machinery and industrial production equipment.

  • Ability to safely use maintenance tools and testing equipment.

  • Ability to perform physical maintenance activities in an industrial environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience maintaining automated material handling equipment, mail sorting equipment, production machinery, packaging equipment, or high-speed conveyor systems.

  • Experience in manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, fulfillment centers, logistics operations, or other industrial environments.
