Logistics Coordinator (Temporary)
Location: Bothell, WA Industry: Medical Device / Biotech Schedule: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday Compensation: $33.00/hr
Overview
The Traffic Coordinator serves as a key operational link within our logistics and supply chain function, supporting a highly regulated medical device/biotech environment. You will act as the primary point of contact for transportation?related inquiries from internal teams, external customers, carriers, brokers, and government agencies.
This temporary role requires strong organizational skills, deep knowledge of import/export compliance, and the ability to thrive in a fast?paced, quality?driven setting.
Essential Job Functions
- Import/Export Compliance — Perform product classification, valuation, and country?of?origin determination.
- HazMat Regulations — Ensure compliance with HazMat requirements and maintain in?house certification for shipping personnel.
- Claims Management — Manage loss/damage claims with carriers and insurance providers.
- 3PL Coordination — Oversee transportation and logistics activities executed by domestic and international third?party logistics partners.
- Process Improvement — Identify, implement, and document improvements to shipping and distribution workflows.
- Quality System Compliance — Ensure all activities align with the company’s ISO?certified quality system.
- Operational Support — Assist with shipping needs during peak periods, emergencies, or special operational requirements.
Knowledge & Experience
- 5+ years of transportation?related experience; ISO?certified or Lean Manufacturing environment preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).
- HAZMAT, DOT, and IATA certifications strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Incoterms and global trade practices.
- Experience with parcel carriers and air/ground forwarders, including rate negotiation and delivery oversight.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as 49 CFR, 19 CFR, BIS, EAR, and HTS.

$33.00 per hour
