Agriculture Technician
Location: Newark, DE
Employment Type: Contract (with potential for extension or hire)
Pay: $20/hr-$21/hr
Shift: Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm

Position Overview:
Kelly Services is seeking an Agriculture Technician to support greenhouse research and production operations for one of our industry-leading clients in the agriculture sector. This hands-on role involves preparing soil, assembling testing units, and supporting controlled environment studies. It’s an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in Agriculture, Biology, Horticulture, or a related field who are interested in contributing to meaningful agricultural research and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare soil and materials for use on production and assembly lines

  • Assist in assembling test units for biological studies

  • Deliver and set up test units in greenhouse facilities

  • Perform general maintenance and upkeep of the work area

  • Comply with safety policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  • Perform basic data entry and assist with documentation

  • Support process improvement and research activities as needed

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in Agriculture, Biology, Horticulture, or a related field

  • Experience in manufacturing, production, greenhouse, or laboratory environments is a plus

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Windows operating systems)

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Forklift experience is a plus
