Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
Pay: $22.50/hr | Temp to Hire
Job Overview:
Kelly Services is seeking a dedicated Production Team Lead / Machine Operator Line Lead for our manufacturing facility in Charlotte, NC. This role is responsible for driving safety, performance, and quality standards in a fast-paced environment, while leading, coaching, and training team members to achieve operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supply all materials to machines and coordinate efficient production sequencing to meet customer demand.
- Enter production, scrap, and bin movements accurately in Master pack.
- Oversee all line changeovers and conduct first piece inspections.
- Operate forklift, power pallet jack, manual carts, and pallet jacks for materials handling.
- Follow work instructions and safety/PPE procedures, report violations as necessary.
- Achieve daily production output targets and meet quality standards.
- Adhere to OSHA guidelines, Environmental Health & Safety rules, and ISO requirements.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area by complying with 5S requirements.
- Work overtime when required.
- Collaborate with leadership and quality teams to resolve issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience & Skills:
- Manufacturing experience required.
- Previous experience operating a forklift and working with measurements essential.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure.
- Knowledge of quality standards; compare measurements to specifications.
- Able to read, interpret, and follow a variety of instructions (written, oral, diagrams, schedule).
- Good hand/eye coordination and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible, self-motivated, and quick to adapt.
- Ability to work well within a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods, perform repetitive motions, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent walking, handling materials, reaching, occasional bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling.
- Good vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment).
- Comfortable working around moving parts, oil, grease, coolants, fumes, and particulate hazards.
