Job details
Job Title: Finishing Operator
Location: Worcester MA 01606
Work Schedule: 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm / Monday to Friday
Contract: 5 months
Qualifications:
• Experience working with manufactured products and production equipment preferred
• Ability to follow work orders, machine instructions, and supervisor directions
• Experience using hand tools and power tools
• Ability to set up and adjust production machinery
• Ability to monitor machine operations and identify issues
• Basic computer skills to record production and processing data
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow quality standards
Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate machines for finishing operations
• Perform grinding, cutting, dressing, speed testing, and sandblasting tasks
• Work with products such as abrasive wheels, abrasive segments, ceramic finishes, and kiln furniture
• Select machine tooling based on work orders and production requirements
• Adjust equipment and machinery using hand and power tools
• Load and unload materials manually or with hoists
• Monitor equipment during production and make adjustments as needed
• Trim, scrape, shape, or deburr parts using hand tools
• Move materials, equipment, and parts to designated work areas
• Record production and processing information on forms and computer systems
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality requirements are met
