Kelly is hiring an Assembly Technician on behalf of a global leader in gear pumps, pelletizing systems, and filtration technology serving the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries.

7:00 AM – 3:00 PM + Overtime
Includes a paid 30-minute lunch

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, layout drawings, and electrical prints
  

• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to specifications
  

• Measure and inspect parts using micrometers, feeler gauges, and other precision instruments
  

• Understand assembly tolerances and verify compliance with specifications
  

• Install and connect pneumatic components including cylinders, valves, regulators, and controls
  

• Work with threaded and welded pipe, fittings, valves, and related hardware
  

• Run conduit, mount junction boxes, pull wire, and terminate electrical connections according to drawings
  

• Accurately document labor hours, production data, and quality information
  

• Report discrepancies related to bills of materials (BOMs), work orders, or production processes
  

• Safely operate overhead cranes utilizing slings, straps, and lifting devices
  

• Position and install components through lifting, bending, kneeling, and overhead work

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
  

• Ability to interpret electrical drawings
  

• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of basic mechanical principles
  

• Experience using hand tools in mechanical, maintenance, assembly, or millwright environments preferred
  

• Mechanics or Millwright coursework is a plus, but not required
  

• Overhead crane experience is a plus, but not required
  

• Forklift experience preferred; training will be provided after hire

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing
  

• Ability to work overhead and in confined positions when assembling equipment
  

• Frequent use of hands and arms for assembly and material handling
  

• Ability to operate a forklift safely and complete company-provided forklift certification training
  

• Strong visual abilities including close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and color recognition
