Location:
Elgin, IL
Pay: $40-48 per hour based on experience 
1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Position Summary
KELLY is seeking 1st and 3rd shift Maintenance Leads. This role is responsible for leading daily maintenance operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient equipment performance. This role coordinates work orders, supports preventive maintenance programs, and provides hands?on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assign, prioritize, and track daily maintenance work orders

  • Lead and support maintenance technicians during repairs and breakdowns

  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment including corrugators, conveyors, pumps, motors, and glue systems

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, and vacuum systems

  • Perform precision alignment, equipment rebuilds, roll changes, and major repairs

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings

  • Support basic industrial electrical troubleshooting (motors, sensors, VFDs, PLC?controlled equipment)

  • Coordinate with production leadership, vendors, and contractors

  • Promote safety, organization, documentation, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints

  • Experience working independently and leading others

  • Comfortable working overtime, weekends, heights, and confined spaces

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

  • 10+ years of industrial maintenance experience

  • Prior leadership or lead experience

  • Corrugated or industrial manufacturing background

  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and industrial drives

  • Proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office
