Lab Supervisor (Auto-Chemistry)
Location: Cleveland, OH
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with rotational weekends
Salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually
Relocation Assistance: Available
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lab Supervisor to oversee daily operations within a clinical laboratory environment. This individual will be responsible for supervising laboratory staff, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met, managing workflow, and supporting technical laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily laboratory activities and staff schedules
- Train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory personnel
- Review and approve specialized and complex test results
- Monitor quality control processes and ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and laboratory standards
- Assist with hiring, performance management, and staff development
- Support laboratory operations during peak workloads and staff absences
- Participate in regulatory inspections and special projects as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or a related scientific field
- ASCP certification (MLS or equivalent)
- 4–6 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or equivalent in a clinical laboratory setting
- Strong experience in Auto-Chemistry
Preferred
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience working in a high-volume clinical laboratory environment
