Hourly Pay: $21/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Position Summary
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Assemblers to join our manufacturing team in Shelton, CT. The Assembler is responsible for building parts, assembling components, and completing finished products while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with team members, follow established procedures, and contribute to a positive and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble parts, components, and finished products using hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment.
- Read and follow work instructions, blueprints, diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical documents.
- Build products according to quality standards and production specifications.
- Operate assembly-line equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect products for quality and report defects or inconsistencies.
- Report defective materials, equipment malfunctions, or production issues to supervisors.
- Maintain a positive attitude toward customer service, with a focus on delivering high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and support production goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and workplace safety requirements.
- Meet daily production targets and deadlines.
- Package, label, and prepare finished products for shipment as required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and reach stackers; forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and power tools.
- Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow assembly instructions, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, listening, interpersonal, and observation skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work overtime during peak production periods as needed.
- Ability to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive hand movements for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and warehouse setting.
- Exposure to machinery, tools, and production equipment.
- Must adhere to all safety policies and procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
