Pay Rate: $22+ Depending on experience
Shift:1st Shift – Monday through Friday

About the Role:

Kelly Services is seeking an Electric Motor Mechanic for our client in the aerospace and defense industry. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric motors and related systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and safety. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical systems while working with advanced technology in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in electric motors using schematics, testing tools, and diagnostic equipment.

  • Repair or replace faulty components, including windings, brushes, bearings, and stators.

  • Perform preventative and routine maintenance to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.

  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to complete repairs.

  • Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and repair documentation.

  • Troubleshoot and repair auxiliary systems, including diesel engine components when applicable.

  • Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and documentation of parts used.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.

  • Provide professional customer service and technical support when required.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an Electronics Technician, Electric Motor Mechanic, Service Technician, or similar technical role.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting principles.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

  • Experience with soldering, welding, electrical systems, and equipment repair.

  • Background in automotive, generator, industrial equipment, or heavy machinery maintenance preferred.

  • Experience working with Caterpillar equipment or similar heavy-duty machinery is a plus.

  • Knowledge of diesel engine repair is highly desirable.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to safely lift and handle heavy components as needed.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
