Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Control Technician to join our power plant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of the plant’s electrical systems, instrumentation, and automation. This role involves hands-on technical work with sophisticated equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in PLC programming for plant equipment operation and automation.

  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.

  • Perform routine inspections and calibration of instruments; respond promptly to emergencies as needed.

  • Update, modify, and test operation sequences and graphic pages (programming).

  • Calibrate and maintain a variety of measuring instruments including voltmeters, recorders, manometers, relays, thermostats, and other sensitive electrical devices.

  • Install and calibrate new instruments; recommend specifications and improvements.

  • Utilize advanced scheduling, tracking, trend, and history software to efficiently manage instrumentation, controllers, converters, and related devices.

Qualifications:

  • Technical diploma or degree in Instrumentation & Controls, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in PLC programming and HMI systems.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for instrumentation and electrical equipment.

  • Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance practices.

  • Ability to use specialized software for equipment management.

  • Excellent attention to detail and safety-focused mindset.
