Cherry Picker Operator
Location: Charlotte, NC
Pay Rate: $18.00–$21.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift
Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Cherry Picker Operator to support warehouse and distribution operations in Charlotte, NC. This position is responsible for safely operating a cherry picker/order picker to select, move, organize, and prepare products for shipment.
The ideal candidate will have recent cherry picker experience, strong attention to detail, dependable attendance, and the ability to work safely at elevated heights.
Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a cherry picker/order picker and other warehouse equipment.

Pick and pull products according to customer orders and pick tickets.

Work at elevated heights while wearing the required safety harness.

Load, unload, move, stage, and organize products throughout the warehouse.

Use an RF scanner or warehouse management system to track inventory.

Verify product numbers, quantities, and warehouse locations for accuracy.

Prepare orders for packing, staging, and shipment.

Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.

Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrectly located products.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Follow all company safety procedures and warehouse policies.

Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
At least six months of recent cherry picker/order picker experience is required.

Forklift or additional powered industrial equipment experience is preferred.

Ability to safely work at elevated heights.

Experience using an RF scanner is preferred.

Ability to read and follow pick tickets, labels, and written instructions.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.

Must be available to work overtime when required.

Must be able to pass all required pre-employment screenings.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.

Ability to bend, reach, climb, and perform repetitive movements.

Ability to work in a warehouse environment that may not be climate-controlled.

Ability to wear a safety harness and all required personal protective equipment.
