Position: Automated Assembly Machine Operator
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday–Thursday, 4:30 AM–3:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate assigned high-speed, large-scale automated assembly machines.
- Perform complex repairs, major adjustments, set-ups, and changeovers on assembly equipment.
- Conduct quality checks according to the Quality Inspection Plan (QIP); document specified measurements at required intervals.
- Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly preventive and routine maintenance on machines.
Typical Duties:
- Adjust tooling, including sharpening/conditioning, and verifying height of spring-loaded pins.
- Replace sensors, punches, dies, stock components, air cylinders, belts, etc.
- Adjust housing feed in accordance with standards.
- Use height indicators, ram optics, gauges, and perform microscopic visual inspections.
- Identify and reset machine faults, clear jams, restart production, and package finished products.
Skill Level & Competencies:
- Applies job skills and knowledge of company policies and procedures, typically gained through 1+ years of relevant experience or vocational training.
- May need to recognize and deviate from established procedures as necessary.
